In addition to opting for natural soy wax, we assess the fragrance oils incorporated into our candles. Fragrance oils are often synthetic and contain various chemicals and petroleum by-products.

Among those chemicals are phthalates and parabens— which are used to enhance the fragrance’s potency and extend the candle’s shelf life. Unfortunately, both parabens and phthalates have been associated with adverse health effects such as cancer, reproductive issues, hormonal disruptions, allergic reactions, and respiratory problems.

Due to these concerns, we deliberately select fragrance oils that are free from toxins for our candles.
